Cisco announced general availability of Cisco Spatial Meetings on Webex for Apple Vision Pro. The feature uses a Cisco Room Bar Pro's dual-lens camera to transmit stereoscopic spatial video into the native Webex visionOS app, enabling immersive remote product demos, training, and education for Vision Pro participants after upgrading RoomOS to 11.25.1 or later.
Apple's Newsroom highlighted enterprise Vision Pro use cases including KLM Royal Dutch Airlines' Engine Shop maintenance app, Porsche's Race Engineer, NVIDIA Omniverse Cloud APIs, SAP Analytics Cloud, Microsoft 365 with Copilot, Cisco Webex, PTC's Onshape Vision, and Taqtile Manifest. Apple also announced the Enterprise Spatial Design Lab; Deloitte Digital concurrently launched a dedicated visionOS practice with one-week instructor-led courses.
San Francisco-based 3D capture company Polycam announced an $18M Series A co-led by Left Lane Capital and Adjacent, with participation from Adobe Ventures and angels including YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, Shaun Maguire (Sequoia), Julien Chaumond (Hugging Face), and Barry McCardel (Hex). The round brought Polycam's total funding to $22M and coincided with the launch of its native Apple Vision Pro app, positioning visionOS as a key area of focus for the company's LiDAR and photogrammetry scanning tools.
At Cisco Live Amsterdam, Cisco detailed the native Webex app for Apple Vision Pro, which was available on the App Store from launch day (February 2, 2024). The app brings spatial meetings, Personas, Spatial Audio, AI background-noise removal, and Slido polling to visionOS.
